Class Registration and Schedule Planner

Green River College will operate in a hybrid-model for Fall 2021, with increased in-person instruction and expanded student services throughout the 2021-2022 academic year, while continuing to offer remote instruction and online student services. View GRC Phased Reopening Plan for Summer & Fall 2021.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic Green River College will be a fully vaccinated campus. All are welcome to Green River College, regardless of their vaccination status. Employees and students will need to verify that they have been fully vaccinated unless they are claiming a medical, religious, or philosophical exemption. The College will withdraw a student from a class if any of the following are true:

  • Students are enrolled in two or more different sections of the same class
  • Students have not met the prerequisites for the class
  • Students have not paid tuition and fees, or signed up for the STEP payment plan, by the designated tuition due date or within the timeframe once the tuition due date has passed.
  • Students not in attendance on the first day of class may be replaced by another student from the waitlist who is in attendance.

Class Waitlist Information

Green River maintains waitlists for many courses when they become full. If an opening occurs in a class, before the first day of the quarter, the student at the top of the waitlist will be automatically enrolled in the class. Students are placed on waitlists in a first come, first served order. Waitlists are deactivated two (2) days prior to the start of the quarter to allow schedules and class rosters to be prepared the day before classes start. If any students have not received notification by the first day of the quarter that their waitlist status has changed, they need to attend the first class session and/or send an email to the instructor to identify themselves to the instructor.

  • Attending the first class session does not guarantee admittance into the class when on a waitlist.
  • Students not in attendance on the first day of class may be replaced by another student from the waitlist who is in attendance.

The College notifies students by Green River student email if enrolled into a class from the waitlist.

  • It is the student's responsibility to check their waitlist on a daily basis.
  • Once registered into a class from the waitlist, students must pay additional tuition and fees or adjust their schedule to remove unwanted classes by the designated tuition due date for the quarter, or within 3 business days of registration once the tuition due date has passed.
  • Students are responsible for making sure their schedule is accurate by dropping any unwanted classes. Failure to do so may result in a failing grade being posted to the transcript and possible additional tuition and fees.
